How to make a a electric solid-body guitar?

Alright so I want to make a NICE, not crappy or cheap lookin, electric solid-body guitar. Right now im lookin on how to make my own humbucker pickups, but when i look at vids or at sites they are all cheap crap, if you have any other advice for other parts of the guitar plz say so

If you want to get into pickup winding, then check out Stewart McDonald (www.stewmac.com). They sell the bobbins, wire, pole pieces, and tools to do it.
